The Bilobed flap allows us to transfer skin from where we have some excess along the dorsum of the nose to the tip of the nose, using two flaps or “lobes”. It typically provides the best color and texture match on the nasal tip and is more durable when a patient requires postoperative radiation due to the aggressive nature of the tumor (peri-neural involvement) as was the case here. Her 4 ½ month view shows that the scars have settled nicely and she can pass the “little girl test”.
