A WOMAN IN HER MID 30’s with a bilateral drooping and partial split of the earlobes. After watching our video on the split ear she has realized that she most likely has a nickel allergy.
She is shown before and again, 3 months after bilateral earlobe lift /repair, with the removal of 10 mm wedges from each ear. She used Aquaphor and protective bandaids for 6 weeks and then used the topical silicone we recommended. Her scars are “ahead of schedule” and less red and thick than most at the 3-month mark. Scars are typically redder and thicker for 6 weeks and then begin to soften and fade over the next 2 years. She is also shown immediately after re-piercing her ears in the office and bringing in titanium earrings at our recommendation.
