A woman in her mid 70’s with a basal cell skin cancer of her nose. She is shown before, just after Moh’s exision and again, 8 months after repair. I chose a Reiger flap which is sometimes called a “bishops mitre” flap because it has the shape of a bishops hat. The skin is advanced in “””v to Y” fashion,. This replaces the nasal skin with skin that matches in color and texture, and is typically much better on the tip of the nose than a skin graft. She is able to pass “the little girl test”-little boys and girls no longer notice or comment on her nose- she does not look deformed.
