A 22 yo male is shown with right unilateral (one side only) hypertrophy (enlargement) of the nipple which he first noticed at the age of 8 or 9. He has had now change since puberty, but was bothered by his appearance in tank tops and at the beach. He is shown before and again 7 weeks after a nipple reduction procedure with the modified “top hat flap”. He is quite pleased with his early result. Despite the fact that scarring typically peaks at 6 weeks and then improves over 2 years he has an excellent appearance already and a good match with his other side. He feels “normal” again.
