A woman in her mid-40s showed before and again, 2 weeks after 100 units of Daxxify were placed on the glabella ( frown lines) the lateral orbicularis  ( “crow’s feet”), and the upper forehead.  She has normal positioning of her eyebrow at rest but the forehead lines are diminished at rest and with activity.  She can still raise her forehead and did not want to look “frozen”.  Her frown lines are gone.  The crow’s feet area is improved with smiling.

A woman in her later 50s is shown before and again, nearly one month after 100 units of Daxxify.  She has age-related early descent of her brows which explains why her forehead lines are so noticeable before as she works to hold them up.  With a light amount of Daxxify to the very upper forehead, The forehead lines are much better after but her brows come down slightly and make the skin of her upper eyelids a little more prominent as a tradeoff. We might skip the Daxxify to the upper forehead at her next treatment.

A woman in her late 50’s who typically receives 50 units of Botox every 4 months.  She is shown 2 weeks after 100 units of Daxxify. She holds her right eyebrow higher and we put a small dose of Daxxify on the upper forehead on her right to balance her asymmetry.  At rest, it is remarkable how the lateral canthal lines (crow’s feet) are improved.  She cannot frown despite her strongest efforts.  She can still elevate her brows and describes the Daxxify as more “blended” than the botox.  So a stronger effect actually looks softer.

A woman in her early 40s showed before and again, one month after 100 units of Daxxify.  She has a natural appearance at rest.  The maximum frown shows “ no activity” in the corrugator area ( the “11’s”). The smile view shows the crow’s feet area ( lateral orbicularis) to look natural and improved.  The brow position is normal.

A woman in her early 70s who receives neurotoxin for frown lines.  She decided to switch to Daxxify, which is a Botulinum Toxin A at its core, like “Botox” but instead of being coated with human serum albumin, it is coated with a proprietary Peptide.  She is shown 14 days after her treatment with 100 units of Daxxify.  At rest, the frown lines are very smooth and with the new pattern of injection, she has a few millimeters of brow elevation.  The horizontal forehead lines are better because the frontalis doesn’t have to work as hard to pull the eyebrows up.  The eyebrow balance is good.  No “Dr. Spock” eyebrows.  With a maximum frown, she would be rated as “none” after two weeks.  Her crow’s feet lines are also dramatically improved at rest.  And we put a small amount of Daxxify in her mentalis (chin” muscle so the chin appears smoother.  In addition to being a stronger effect, the studies suggest that patients on average are getting two months longer in duration.

A woman in her early 70’s shown before and again, one month after 100 units of Daxxify.  She had cataract surgery 2 weeks after her treatment and is still using eye drops 4x a day.

With no activity, the maximum frown view shows excellent results in the corrugator and procerus area.  The full smile view shows good improvement in the lateral canthal (crow’s feet) lines.  She can still elevate her brows and says that after the Daxxify she now “feels like she looks like she should”

Redensity is the first filler that is approved for dynamic lines of the lip. Our patient in her late 50’s is shown before and 2 weeks after the placement of Redensity to the upper lips.  It does not add bulk to the lip at rest, but dramatically supports the soft tissues with motion.  It is another Non-Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid filler from Revance and is the newest addition to their portfolio of Resilient Hyaluronic Acid fillers

Our patient is a woman in her mid 40’s who has previously had Botox elsewhere but wished to try Daxxify.  She also received 2 syringes of RHA 4 for her cheeks to treat volume loss from aging.

She is shown exactly 14 days after her treatment with 100 units of Daxxify. The crow’s feet area is especially dramatic and this result would have been difficult to achieve with Botox.

Face at rest looks natural and does not show dropping of the brows, which can be common for men and women as they age and develop some drooping of the brows when they get BonTA.

Smile view shows a nice decrease of the “crow’s feet” lines.

The frowning view shows that the corrugator muscle function is dramatically decreased and almost knocked down to zero which is difficult for men who often have larger muscles.

Brow elevation shows the forehead lines to be improved but without too much arching of the eyebrows.
