Liposuction Gallery

A mother of 2 in her late 30’s who is bothered by the shape of her abdomen and flanks in clothes. She feels like “sponge bob square pants”. She “carried big” with her pregnancies and gained over 60 lbs. She is currently 5’ 10” and 158 lbs. She is shown before and again, nearly 6 months after abdominoplasty combined with External ultrasound assisted/power assisted liposuction of her flanks and back roll. In order to keep her abdominoplasty scar low, in the “thong” position” she has a small vertical scar in the lower abdomen that was previously around her umbilicus and has been pulled lower, but was not able to pulled down entirely below the abdominal scar. The alternative would have been to place the abdominoplasty scar higher where it would have been more visible.

A man in his late 20’s who has had gynecomastia since the age of 10. He is bothered by the appearance of his chest with his shirt off but also with fitted shirts. He has tried to camouflage this with undershirts and loose fitting shirts. No history of anabolic steroid or marijuana use. He is over his ideal weight at 216 lbs and 5’10” (BMI of 30.99) and also requests liposuction of his abdomen. He is shown before and again, just 6 weeks after Power assisted /External ultrasound assisted liposuction with the removal of 4950 cc of lipoaspirate under general anesthesia as an outpatient. Swelling will continue to diminish over the next 4-5 months.

A 30 yo mother of 3 is shown just before and again 15 1/2 months after abdominoplasty combined with liposuction of the inner thighs and the hips. She is 5′ 3 1/2″ and 144 lbs. She is pleased by the flatness of her stomach after surgery, and by no longer having “muffin tops” in jeans. She is also pleased that her inner thighs no longer rub together when she walks. She is noted to have some mild asymmetry, with her left hip being slightly larger and higher both before and after her surgery. Her abdominal scar is placed in a “thong line” position, to allow it to be hidden by most clothing and swimsuit choices. A tattoo on her back is blurred for her privacy.

A 32 yo nurse with significant laxity (looseness) of her abdominal (stomach) muscles and skin after two pregnancies. She is 5′ 1/2″ and 134 lbs. She is shown before and again 6 months after abdominoplasty (“tummy tuck”) which included the tightening of her muscle wall and excess skin. Fat was contoured (shaped) around the umbilicus (belly button) to give a nice shape and a “champagne groove” was formed by light liposuction along the mid-line just above the umbilicus to give a nicer shape. She had an umbilical hernia repaired at the same time by a general surgeon. Her lower abdominal scar is placed so that it is in a “thong line” position so that it can be hidden by most clothing styles. She is thrilled with the improvement in her abdomen, and now feels comfortable wearing a two -piece bathing suit, and loves the fact that she no longer has an abdominal “bulge” above her pants or skirt when sitting.
