A woman in her early 20’s who is a division 1 NCAA athlete, and is a 34 DD cup. She has had problems with her sport, exercise, back pain, shoulder pain, grooving and irritation of her shoulders as well as a rash under her breasts in the warmer months and postural difficulties.
She is shown before an again, 7 ½ months after a bilateral breast reduction with the removal of over 400 grams of tissue from each breast to reduce her to a “C” cup. Her symptoms have all resolved, it is easier to compete in her sport, and she loves her new shape and size. Scars typically get redder and thicker for 6 weeks and then fade and soften over the next 2 years.
