A mother of 3 in her early 40’s who is bothered by “skin hanging over her pants and stretch marks”. She is shown before and again, 5 months after an extended abdominoplasty. A “champagne groove” and a periumibilical hollow were sculpted in the fat to give the abdomen an even more beautiful appearance.
J.M. is a 56 yo who has never been pregnant, shown before and 11 months after mini-abdominoplasty and external ultrasound assisted liposuction of the hips, flanks and the medial, lateral and posterior thighs. 3.8 liters of fat were removed.
1 year follow-up on a mother of 2 who was bothered by “looking square” “like sponge bob” in the abdomen and flanks. She is now seen 12 months after abdominoplasty with translocation of the umbilicus and SAFE liposuction of the flanks and bra roll area. We had a choice of a small vertical scar in the lower abdomen from the former opening around the umbilicus, or placing the entire scar higher on the abdomen. My experience is it is nearly always better to put the main scar in the “thong” position where is is hidden by most clothing styles. Her umbilicus was too low and the upper abdomen too loose to perform an umbilical float. At 12 months there is still some slight redness to the scar, but these will typically continue to fade for an additional 12 months or longer.
