A woman in her mid 60’s  whose vision was blocked by excess skin of her upper eyelids and drooping of the eye brows.  She is shown before and again, 6 weeks after an upper eyelid blepharoplasty combined with a brow-pexy. ( “pexy” means “to fix in position” ) A brow lift would have decreased forehead lines and improved the aesthetic appearance more by elevating the brow. But a brow lift is considered cosmetic and not covered by insurance.    She elected for a brow-pexy at the time of her blepharoplasty, which does not elevate the brows but fixes them to prevent them from dropping more when a patient sits up.    As people age we lose volume in the face and the brows descend, contributing to lateral “hooding” of the brows.  Her goal was to improve her blocked vision rather than to maximally improve her appearance

A woman in her early 40’s with a partial split of her left ear lobe and dropping of both earlobes.  She is shown before and again, 3 months after a bilateral earlobe lift/split repair.

The earlobes now have a more youthful and beautiful shape.

A woman in her late 20’s with a partial split of her earlobes.  She is shown before and again, 6 months after repair and immediately after re-piercing in the office.  She did sleep with earrings in.  When both earlobes are involved there is often a nickel allergy as well.

A woman in her mid 40’s with parital split of her left ear as well as drooping of her earlobe.  She does sleep with earrings in place and has a nickel allergy.  She is shown before and again, 3 months after earlobe lift/repair in the office.  The split was corrected and a more aesthetic contour created.

A woman in her early 30’s with a complete split of her left earlobe.  She does sleep with her earrings in.  She also has dropping of both earlobes with a length of 12 mm on her left from the cheek attachment to the free border ( an ideal youthful earlobe is 5 mm).  She elected only for repair of the split on the one side and didn’t wish to have a bilateral earlobe lift at this time.

She is shown before and again, 3 months after repair. The contour is good and the spit is repaired.  The earlobe aesthetics could be improved with an earlobe lift should she desire this in the future.

A woman in her early 30’s with bilateral splits of her earlobes, most likely from sleeping with her earrings in place.  There is slight drooping of the earlobes as well.  She is shown before and again, 3 months after bilateral earlobe lift/repair.
